I just looked in FAQ and didn't find it, there was a thing about year ranges of transfer cases.

yours looks to be later in the run, 77+? with all the ribbing on the back side of the case, but not 100% sure

Probably it’s for 77+ but the thing make me confused is the highlighted area at this picture

There should be a date code stamped on the passenger side. I can't see that side in any of your pics.

By the link from @JohnnyC it's 74-78 US domestic

Wasn't there a late model case used 8/80-10/82 with the three speed. Idle shaft was 34 MM.

Late split transfer cases weren't stamped with a date. Not sure about replacement one piece cases. If it's stamped will looks like there.

Have a split transfer case in my parts in Australia that has some number stamped on and two labels still on it. Number arre not a date code. This is most likely a case sold separately not installed on a cruiser.

That ^ tranny and t/c should be in my ‘63, but alas, a day late and a dollar short. Can’t really see the later one in it under the rig anyhow 😂.

The side shift linkage is different. Uses a pivot off the bellhousing.

Turns out the closer one the first gear/reverse must have been driven my someone who does not understand how to shift a non synchro first gear.

The one behind it's hard to believe it's over fifty years old.

As for the back cover I have the 63 transmission and transfer case supplement to the regular 63 FSM with these early transmission and transfer case.
