Regarding the Heritage Parts Program for the 60 Series, I really think that if Toyota got a bunch of requests for the same part it would draw their attention. That’s why I think we should band together, agree on a couple key parts, and then fill out that form en masse. We have some weight we can throw around if we get the whole of the 60 folks on Mud together.

This topic probably deserves its own thread…
I was thinking along the same line when I posted this. Someone else can start a thread, I don’t have the time to do it justice.

Years ago I started buying as many new OEM parts as I could when parts were starting to disappear. Last time I checked I had spent over $13,000 on new OEM parts. I have a pretty good list of part numbers I can post sometime.

You’re gonna be rich from selling those at a steep markup one day! 🤣

Anyone have a full float?
Full float 60 axle? None offered domestically but foreign ones had the option with cable locked or LSD’s. Running a set of CL’d axles on my main 60. Have a couple 61’s with this option as well. Of course I’m a hoarder :). Also have a factory LSD but some of the ring gear teeth are chipped. Need to address that

Definitely understand this. Are you open to importing one? If so Cruiserworld in The Netherlands as well as a few shops in Canada will sell/ship products.

I always thought this was high on the list, which is why I still have it :) Sat in a box since 1994, check label. Hopefully this thread stays on track - no reproductions/3d printing and such. Another beauty - of the 3 NOS ones I've had...looking at you @NeverGiveUpYota . One finally made its way on my 40.

To me one of the ultimates are the manual fender mirrors on JDM market 60s, absolutely the coolest. For $1k USD + shipping, they could be had right now.

Original well preserved in climate controlled outbuilding #2 ..

Genuine NipponDenso first generation yellow decal style 1962-4/86 BIG CAP style / type .

NOTE: the EMBOSSED ND logo on the LH ear , this accompanied by a factory pre-punched retainer chain hole as well , i added the period correct reproduction solid nickle retainer chain itself , based off of archived photos , in the 1960's there was a tab brazed on the top tank itself for the retainer chain to secure to , by 8/80 - 4/86 TOYOTA added a additional larger split ring that the over flow hose simply passes through creating a suitable retention method that is simple fit form and function ....

Been thinking about it. I need to get my hands on some good ones first.
I have them 100%. I even have NOS clips still in the bag. I’ll snap a picture. The metal would be easy to reproduce. It’s just 3-4 bends on some thin sheet metal. Chrome would be the toughest part.

The white clips are available or were not long ago. The black plastic parts were fortunately still attached on my rig, but one chrome strip is gone.

EDIT: I lied, I'm missing the PS chrome & rear black plastic end cap.

Dude, I might need to borrow those for cloning….
