Cannot wait to see this progress. At some point I want to delete my 3rd row.
Talking with my wife about how little we ever use that 3rd row, I'm starting to fall into that mind set also. Maybe move the 3k inverter into that space?

Plan on adding my second battery back there kinda like how Giovanni did it when I get my drawers put it..

Excited to store tools or anything besides seats that I don’t use. Rood we should order the seat power taps now, from that guy on the forum.

My mistake I thought we had talked about them.

Clue me in, what taps?
I bought two and tied them together. They are very high quality and I've got steady reliable power forever.

My mistake I thought we had talked about them.

Probably did, but we've talked about so much GX and other project vehicle shenanigans that it might have slipped through the brain cracks

Do you know what the install ahead of you will look like? Are you going to have to tear out the dash/console?

It shouldn't be too difficult. My brother installed the Accessorides kit in his 5th gen 4Runner in under an hour having never done one before. You have to pull off the piece below the steering wheel and one other section but otherwise (as far as I know) it's just plug-and-play. Will report back after I tackle it.

There's a guy on Youtube that does a lot of DYI's on the GX. I don't recall his name off hand but he usually has a picture of an old Asian fellow with a bunch of teeth missing. His how-to's are really good.
Perhaps he has one that he did "something" relating to under the drivers dash?

Know who you're talking about, will take a look but probably just going to follow the instructions Accessorides included

I watched an install video, I think it’s in the same place as the CC module behind the glove box… Not as easy as my Tacoma or maybe the T4R. The taco was like not even 5 minutes. The GX seems more involved.

Still don't think it'll be terrible (famous last words), maybe an extra panel or two

Because I am 4WD obsessed and a child at heart, I picked up an RC crawler a few weeks ago and have had more fun with it than anyone my age should. There's bigger/badder toys in this hobby by the $150 Traxxas TRX4M is a ton of fun to play around with on those cold, rainy winter days.

I'm super spoiled by my side gig. After 10 years of writing about cars for free / with no real outlet, I am finally getting a regular rotation of press cars. The CT5-V Blackwing is truly spectacular.

Going to try to post on here about every car I have the luxury of driving and spending time with.

I'm right with you. As old as I am, I still love motorized toys!
I've been planning on building a working 3D printed Camel Trophy Defender.
