Issue with carb throttle linkage/bent rod blocking speed screw (1 Viewer)

Was working on adjusting my idle today and noticed my choke was stuck. Tugged in the linkage in the carb a bit and it released but after I noticed that my speed screw was now blocked by this metal bar that appears to be bent out of shape. Anyone know what I did by chance or how to repair?

it appears you need to bend it back in shape ....

Ha! Yes exactly — but after a couple hours of late night digging I was able to find and old thread where someone had the same issue. Thanks guys! For your ref, mine was pretty jacked up compared to one that was good……

Sounds like it is now just a matter of removing your bent linkage and bending it back into shape.
