Only just realised looking at your pics but the rear window and quarters are bigger on a 40 than a 45.
Going to be good for rear visibility!

Alittle bit every day. Got the rain gutter separated from the cap. It's amazingly rot free, just some surface rust.
Cut it down and got the cab corners all lined up. Now I need to start welding it all together.

Rain gutter all welded together. Bolted that back on. Then did the rough sheet metal filler on the sides.

I can appreciate that color as original paint. Not for my repaint though. Mine will be some form of Royal Blue, Nordic Blue, or River Blue......ish.

Got more welding done tonight. I managed to warp the hell out of the rear panel. No worries though. You never see it once the bed is on......lol.

Body mounts: Not sure what you are using but I used hockey pucks on mine in 1995, no issues for 11 years then she got parked. It was my dd and off road beast.

I did a 8” stretch and it was just enough to get a set of 2018 toyota tacoma seats in and still have leg room I am nearly 6’. Find your seats and make sure they will fit.
Yes they are a bit thick but plenty confy

Body mounts: Not sure what you are using but I used hockey pucks on mine in 1995, no issues for 11 years then she got parked. It was my dd and off road beast.

Here is what i used i had to do a body lift to make the body fit on the modified and extended 55 frame so i machined some tough material Delrin to what i was needing. the bottom spacer will be remachined with a thicker piece to take up the space on the underside of the body mount. Hockey pucks thinking worked out well material is tough.

I am reusing oem frame mounts and got a poly body mount kit. Cab has 6 mounts.

Got the rear window all framed out.

Thanks. I am going to reuse the stock 71 40 tank. I have all the parts for it to work. Trying to reuse as many parts as possible from my 40 stash.

Wow, fast progress. For the rear window, will the lower left radius just be different than the others? Or will you cut one out from the other hardtop side piece?

Dam. I did not notice that. Good call. I guess I will cut that out and fix it tomorrow.....lol.

Ok, how did that happen? In post #81 the larger radius was on the right in your mock-up, now it’s on the left?
