Hello, I recently acquired this 1972 race truck build with lots of period modifications (smittybilt, offenhauser, gabriel, etc). I’m curious if anyone here has any info on it like previous owners, photos, or race history. It has a participant sticker from the 1977 mint 400.
Thanks for your help.
Stephen

Any more info., where you find it ? Have you looked up the fellas names painted on it ?

FST too, cool

Surely Downey would know the truck or the names on the quarter if anyone would. Maybe he will chime in.

there were lots of trucks in all those races... HUNDEREDS of participants... if you pay the fee you can participate

there were alot of big names working and or participating in those races... Micky Thompson, Bill Stroppe, Ivan Stewart, Pete Condos (Con-Ferr).... Parnelli Jones, the Baja Boot raced in the 400 as well

Search of 1977 "mint 400" or just a "mint 400" you may find a pic of it
