The Wizard came back not in such a crappy mood.
We s***canned the Rough stuff hardware. Wrong everything.
We commenced to cutting and beating old brackets off of a junk frame I had here

The Wizard will buzz these in place while I’m away and I’ll button it all up in the new year.

Merry Christmas all.

When I saw the welds on those hangers you were removin, I thought man they aint coming off without a fight - whoever did that could weld! That’s some old school structural ain’t never coming off work

The wizard slipped into the shop while I’m away and burned the hangers back on.

Also Tom Woods shafts shipped today.

Good to see this one moving forward in my absence.

Happy new year. Colorado trip to deliver Moe Green 40 was successful and recharged my Cruiser battery.

This morning I got the axle back under Texas Tan and installed the flip kit.

Next up. Replacing the nasty steerage

This thing is going to ride and drive so much better.

Tomorrow I’ll put the interior back in and the Tom Woods shafts drop in the afternoon.

Stance is perfect like all the Dobinsons kits are

Do the Dobinson rear springs center the rear axle? or is it still pushed forward?

They are still more forward than center but that’s by design on all of them really. When the arch of the suspension travels it will center the tire.

Here is another with a better side angle

Put a gear reduction starter, new Optima and Four Runner wires and this ole F155 lights up like a new truck now.

I got the stereo rewired. Also added a later model heater valve that can easily be manually opened and closed. It had nothing before do the hot water was always flowing.

Burping it now.

I added a proportion valve. I’m about to bleed the brakes and check them. I’ve never run disc/disc that did not need one.

Lastly, I’ve got to go hunt down a belt.

One thing I love on this truck is the PS box is a real FJ40 box someone found when all the work was done and it has a Toyota pump which I also love.

Problem is they left left the harmonic balancer that has one wide and one narrow slot and the belt that fits it slips in the water pump pulley groove because it’s too narrow and it squeaks.

I’m going to go try to find a slightly wider belt tomorrow.

I believe it's there to protect the bolt / nut. He has them upside down.

Actually I thought it was an anti inversion tab. Bolt protector makes sense too

Love the stance. 4runner wires? Please elaborate. Do you use the proportioning valves on standard rear drum front disc setups as well?

No adjustable proportion valve needed for a disc/drum setup.

The brakes on this thing are so good now.

Also the gear reduction starter is such a great mod.

This thing will be going home this week ….
