I am getting conflicting item numbers for these for the GX470.

I plan to go this route with the Metaltech coil conversion and helper bags inside the rear coils.

Would anyone please be kind enough to confirm the item numbers for the 6112 and 5160 shocks that will fit?

Any recommended vendors?

Thank you.

....
Finding these in-stock for a reasonable price is proving difficult.
Anyone have an opinion on how the Eibach kit stacks up against these?

I bought my gx470 with the 600 lbf/in coils and one shock started leaking after 5 years and over 60k miles, so I got a new second kit with the 700 lbf/in coils.

Front 6112 Bilstein Coilover kit #46-227287 with 600 coils

Front 6112 Coilover Heavy Load! Bilstein Part Number 47-284142 with 700 coils

I used a MT conversion kit stage 2 with icon 56550 LT shocks and Dobinson c59-675v coils, so I don’t have the Bilstein 5160 part numbers for the rear.

I’ve heard good things about the eibachs but the eibachs compete more with the Bilstein 5100 series which are 2” diameter shocks.

The 6112s are 2.6” diameter shocks and hold more fluid. Also, have beefier shock leg. More fluid means you won’t suffer from shock fade as fast as those 2” with less fluid.

But eibach is a good entry level value.

Thank you.
I've read every page of your build thread.

Pretty set on the 700 Bilsteins, just have to find them.

Ah..,i see. The Bilstein 6112 HDs are harder to find. Not as popular as the standard weight ones. But seems like a supply issue now.

I’m not sure what part numbers you discovered recently, but it seems like Bilstein modified the 6112 and gave it a new part number.

This web site mentions that the old part number was superseded and now you can order with optional HD coils. Call them to confirm and see if they have in stock….

Thank you for this!
Being relatively new to this it was very confusing seeing 2 part numbers for the same items.
