Are you replacing an original FJ62 rear seat, or are you trying to upgrade from an FJ60? I have an FJ60 and trying to upgrade to the 62 but I trying to confirm a few things. Does anyone know if the 62 reat seat is a direct fit and will mount without any issues? Also, I found one without the headrest and wondering if those are hard to find. Appreciate any help on this.

I have an opportunity to pick up a upper rear seat out of a 1989-90 FJ62. Will this also be compatible with the original 1985 FJ60 bottom rear seat?

yes you can just change the seat back or IIRCC others have just added the headrest receivers into their 60 seat back, but seems easier to swap the entire back.
only difference will be the fabric, but you can swap that over if needed.
