i have a 1974 fj40 which i want to have power windows installed.
anyone here know if this is possible or who could point me in the right direction?

Yeah, I have some vehicles I would like convert the other way, go back to a good old hand crank. Worst thing is to run out in a thunderstorm to put up the windows to find out you do not have the keys.
 
Actually I have a high amp alt. with another fuse block under the hood and I wired it so I didnt have to have the key on for the rain reason and mainly because its mine and I wanted too.
 
I don't know about the crank ration on other 40's but my 1970 Fj40 windows go up and down pretty fast. Comes in handy when you see that tree limb coming your way.
