1993 FZJ80 Land Cruiser - 303k miles
Located in Los Angeles, CA this clean title 80 series features only the center locking diff (not triple locked), It’s been primarily a surf, camp, wheeling rig over the 18 months I’ve owned it. Purchased in Arkansas and has a rust-free frame, but has some red mud/surface corrosion. I bought this truck as a project to accompany my FJ62 and I’ve really enjoyed bringing it back to life. It doesn’t make sense for me to have 2 cruisers right now, but I hope to have another 80 someday. I’ve used OEM parts or OE suppliers for most everything I’ve done while baselining. The truck has been a reliable adventurer for me and I have receipts for everything I’ve done on the truck since I’ve had it.

Please reach out with any questions. Delivery is available with deposit in hand between CA and TX/OK in the next week before Thanksgiving.

Otherwise I’d be happy to coordinate a fly and drive from LAX. Asking $8k
Here are a few details and my poorly updated build thread

  • Deflared
  • Cloth interior swap, 80 series rear seats, 62 series front seats on manual corbeau seat brackets
  • 33” Cooper Discoverer STT Pro tires (3k miles on them) in 255/85/16
  • OEM 80 series steel wheels powder coated graphite
  • New OEM suspension and 100 series rear springs
  • New axle shafts and rebuilt knuckles
  • New brakes
  • New OEM O2 sensors and knock sensors w/ new wiring
  • New radiator, blue fan clutch mod, water pump, belts, fluids
  • New OEM sun visors
  • Diff & transfer case service
  • Pesky Heater Hose replacement (PHH)
  • Tune up w/ new plugs, plug tubes, wires, dizzy cap and rotor
  • Paint 5/10 (dings and dents on most panels. aerodynamic like a golf ball)
  • Motor runs strong and has most bolt on accessories replaced during my ownership. Valve seals could be done, but aren’t vital at this point.
  • New keys
  • Blackstone report shows no issues, headgasket included, after my first oil change.

The truck needs a few things, but will be a nice rolling project for whoever owns her next.

  • A/C needs recharging, but blew cold when I bought it
  • Tie rod ends should be done, a full set will be included in the sale
  • Oil pump cover leaks, gasket and new bolts will come with the sale
  • The display on the radio recently died, my plan was to replace with a head unit, but I’ll leave it up to the next owner.
  • Passenger headlight is cracked, but doesn’t take in water

Not sure. I bought it in Arkansas and have family in Oklahoma so I registered it there and drove it out west.

Dropped the price to $8k and keeping the drawers for my FJ62
