in preparation for my replacement Rear differential repair ,

both rear wheel cylinder ZERK fittings snapped off in my attempt to bleed thye rear brakes after the new updated @cruiseroutfit modern master cylinder install

i pulled the LH rear wheel and the cylinder rubber cap and it has leaked brake fluid all over the shoes and everything was all rusty and crusty too .....

so i added it all up in my head real quick , them slowly on paper ,

i chose this route :

NEW / NOS take off fully loaded rear drum braked backing plates , ......

this was absolutely the way to go ,

Ok cool ill keep it in mind. I'm from Aus so postage and our dollar would probably blow the cost out.
Next time I pull my drums off and have a look I'll keep you in mind if they are looking tired.

Thanks!

- here is / was my OLD SAD non-working lamps assy.

Upon thinking the whole LIFE-TIME NOS in a CAN idea 💡 for about 2 metric seconds it was a GO. !

I completely stripped the NEW lamp assy housing and plugged the lamp sockets with paper towel balls to prevent the CLEAR Wondrous in a CAN from making them well not conduct the LED bulbs 💡

I also DID and do recommend taping off the entire outer surface chrome etc with a high quality painters tape

NOT the .99 cents a roll SH#T either to be clear …

I applied my usual 3 mist kotes and a 4th and 5th too !

Screw RUST !

I air dried cured overnight in front of my trusty shop box fan

The actual painted surface of my tail gate / Lower hatch door was a bit well had crap all over it when I removed the old lamps assy , I love this general purpose cleaner NO harsh chemicals and no streaking or residue after you deal with either ..

I get this at Home Depot by the 3 pack …

During the last few weeks I scooped up what I would consider my OEM-DREAM-Wheels / Rims

The 16” 70 Series wagons ..

- I have settled on the final details I think 🤔

- OEM CHROME solid achorns closed cap lug nuts

- NO rear center caps due to my full floating axle , gonna Jazz that up , the outer HUBS with BLiNG outer assy. Hardware when start the SNOW-VERSON rear differential replacement due to the current one exploding while driving it less then 30 miles my first 72 hours of ownership ….

That’s a story and the both rear aftermarket aluminum rims coming off too for a different time …

I simply am happy to be still alive honestly 😇

I am currently researching the whole how big or close can I get to a 33” tall BFG all terrains or mud terrains. Based on the factory wheel width of x6JJ ?

I don’t want to exceed the safety limits and have a bead pop on or off road and well die ?

Not yet anyway …

Too Many NLA / Disc. OEM part numbers to be reproducing and the list gets ever longer day by day it seams …..🤔

Those wheels are beautiful aren't they? They were prettier than I imagined when mine arrived a couple months ago. And sign me up for 2 plates! Those look amazing? I need one for my 90 FJ62 and one for my newsed 1986 Supra MKII. Any idea what the Japanese characters mean on the plates?

That vacuum gauge is awesome. Looks like the Sun-Pro gauges I put in my 68 Firebird for oil, temp, and voltage.
