Brake booster check valve and hose size (1 Viewer)

Hello All,

Pretty new guy here having issues with my February 1971 FJ40. Need to replace my brake booster. The one I was sent from Rockauto has a check valve welded in. The check valve is nowhere near the size of the hose that I have going to the current check valve. I called another place and they said theirs was 3/8” and already attached as well which is what I think the one I have from Rockauto is. I’m fairly certain the inner diameter of the original hose I have is quite a bit larger than 3/8”. Can someone please tell me what size hose I am supposed to have? Also, where any of you have gotten a brake booster that worked. Thanks all. I appreciate any help you can give a new guy with very little FJ experience.

Thanks 1911. I looked at it and it says it fits 10/75 and later. Mine is Feb 1971. I am going to call them and ask though.

If anyone else has had luck with a 71, let me know.
