I was wondering if someone knows what good oil pressure numbers are for the fzj?
Cold start up? Warm idle? Cruising?
Couldn’t find actual numbers? Just where people say the gauge needle is pointing.
I was going to hook up an actual gauge to get some readings. Wanted to know what I should be looking for.

Just put a gauge in and here’s what I’ve seen. About 60-70psi on cold start up high idle. Once it’s warmed up it goes to about 10psi. Cruising it hangs around 40-50psi on the highway. The range from the FSM says 4.3psi at idle minimum and 31-70psi at 3000rpm.

Installed a digital gauge. Mine was reading 65-70psi on cold start up. Didn’t get on the highway but 2000 rpm’s around town around 40psi, them back into 50-60’s with a little gas. Once warm at idle 16-18psi.
