The Alapaha River can change personalities very quickly. We were lucky to catch the water levels down but a few weeks later the river can be flowing again.

I got a simple 24V cooler. I don't have a dual battery system and all consumption falls to the starter batteries. So I wired in a battery protector yesterday. I got the cheapest device possibly available: xh-m609. Let's see how it holds up..
Now the question is: What would be the minimum voltage my truck would still start on? 🤔 I set it to 22V, but that's a guess only.
BJ73, 3B 2x75Ah batteries.
Any suggestions welcome.
Cheers Ralf

22 sounds borderline to me. It might take some trial and error. Starting is obviously the biggest drain per unit of time on your battery and once the battery gets to what I will call a "tipping point" the amperage available falls off rapidly. These charts are for a 12v battery but it will give you some idea of how the voltage/amperage curves look.

Park with the nose facing downhill so you can roll start it if the battery is too low.

Loaded up the truck with a set of rims and tires, some fresh outer banks seafood, and drove 475 miles from the coast to the mountains.
