Hello everyone.
Thanks for letting me into the group! I've had a few Toyotas but I've been wanting an FZJ80 for a while and I finally picked one up about a month ago, it had been sitting for a few years in New Mexico. It had some wiring damage but I was able to get it running. The eighty It had a small ticking noise that turned out to be rod knock and some pretty bad engine wear. Not sure what to do next..... I have a less than a year before I move to Illinois so hopefully I can figure something out asap. I love Toyotas so I would like to keep it all Toyota, but Im also looking into an LS swap.... I love camping and long roadtrips so I was hoping the eighty could help me with that, so let's see what happens!

Yes, unfortunately I am. I checked the oil filter already and found plenty of bearing material.

I’ve been calling Toyota parts places left and right and I was told that there was none nationwide…. I’m sure there are some out there, just have to get in contact with the right person or place!
