First time running and installing brake lines.

I picked up a set of Rainmans lines, very nice quality, well labeled and match up very nicely to existing routes. Original fitting have been blasted and cleaned up by a solid FJ40 shop as new for a 1967 are not available.

My question is how to properly seat the brake lines given the year of the truck?

A quick you tube search revealed tightening and loosening the nut 4 times. I just did the first one and man, it felt like I was going to bust the nut off or possibly strip the treads by the fourth loosing/tightening. (Half rotation each time.)

Thoughts or input would be appreciated.

I've never heard of tightening and loosening a brake line fitting to "seat" it. The flare and nut are easily deformed, so tightening too much can cause issues for sure, especially with the early 9mm variety.

Copy...glad I asked.

I will snug them down for now and tighten further if needed.

Assuming this turned out ok?
