Got a 67 FJ40 with 3.9/J30 3spd trans and 2wd/4wd transfer case that I am finishing up work on for a customer. Not familiar with these other then what I have done on this one.

Looking for a reliable site to get a speedometer gear for inside the transfer case tail shaft housing as well as what I have found to be called a speedometer cable generator? Goes between speedometer cable and tailshaft housing?

Thanks.

Try SOR.com or any of the usual vendors around here for the speedo gear but I believe it's still available from Toyota. As for the 10" short speedo cable try Jon (@pardion) or Mark's offroad (@65swb45) otherwise it is NLA (Toyota 83710-60040 cable #2). I had a speedo cable maker make one for me out of Sparks Nevada. As long as you still have the old one they can make a new one for ya-turn around time was approx 5 days.

Also this Corolla part number will probably work 83710-12441, (only the short section)
