After a trip to California last week, (my timing just barely missed the Valley Hybrids Swap Meet), I started going through the spare parts boxes left over after the diesel swap and decided to get the hand throttle installed.
@mattressking helped get the knob cleaned up with a fresh paint infill, so it's looking brand new now.

I also got my new license plates in the mail the other day...

Land Cruiser archaeology. Early Teq heads apparently worshiped dogs. My son was tasked with delicate process of retrieving the mysterious box from under the dash. Everything seems to be well preserved after removing the earth strata.

I fixed my gas gauge! (new sender, old was frozen)

It seems like a small thing, but it's the last thing before I was comfortable taking it for a drive out of my neighborhood.

I also replaced the dual battery trays with Stainless, pure vanity, but it made me happy!

I've been needing to do this since I did my 5 speed swap back in 2018 - but was waiting to get water leaks dealt with.

its sooooo much quieter!!

i swear getting the bolts to line up through all the carpet and padding to find the threaded holes felt harder than the actual 5 speed swap!

this job took me all day and i was completely knackered at the end of the day.

Installed military style battery terminals and a factory Toyota Halogen headlight kit. Supplied harness has relays and fuse blocks. Simple install, plugs into existing headlight socket. The opposite headlight socket is not used, so I just capped it and zip tied to the factory harness. The new harness has two new leads for the headlights. The brown socket is the factory RH headlight socket plugged into the new harness.

That’s a good spot for the relays, no new holes required

well that's a goddam great use of an otherwise useless flat spot - good thinking!! mind sharing some details about the install?
Sure. It’s a Lensun 100W flexible panel, 3 mm thick. Model LS-100FX2-J200. The controller is a 20 amp PWM Solar Charge Controller. I bought the panel directly from Lensun, with a decal that you install underneath to protect the paint if you want to remove it later. You stick it down with 3M VHB (very high bond) tape, and seal the edges with Sikaflex. I bought Anderson connectors from Amazon and the controller from etrailer.com. Anderson connectors are really easy, but you need a heavy duty crimper or solder. It’s very easy, Lensun has great directions.

Hey John. Did you get y hay from Cascadia 4x4?
What watts / amps you getting from it...
im about to pull the trigger on this...

looks good....!!!
Hi Frank, see my previous post. So far so good, very very easy. You may be able to add some smaller panels on the side if you want more capacity. Mine’s pretty lightweight, I used 12 ga wire from the controller to the battery, which is good for a 20 amp system.
