While looking to do a power steering fixed this morning I noticed this vacuum hose is disconnected (driver side near fender) from somewhere and I simply cannot find where it would go. I assume it’s part of the smog system and may go to the carburetor or something similar.

Does anybody know? It’s connected to this component with red top but I’m not sure what it is…the hose in question is the larger hose at bottom….but where it goes to I have no idea. It’s a 1981 2F with smog, unmodified except for PS and AC.

If that comes out of the lower port of the HAC control (High Altitude Controller), it is a vent that doesn't connect to anything. I just went through the same exercise of figuring out what this was.

Agreed. Can’t quite tell from the photos what you are showing but, mrldcty is correct that the lower hose to the HAC should just be open to the atmosphere and it looks like that hose
