picture of drivers side fender? 40 washers are easily adaptable. as are 60 washers. 40's come with a little mount

this is from later, wide nose 70 series with the bottle on the driver (left) front fender. Any narrow nose 70 series have it over there?

Dug through my parts stash and found an 80s series washer bottle… looks like it’ll work really well on the driver side.

Got the bumper done. I wanted to add some really flexible easy to remove mudflaps.. My 4x4 labs bumper on my 80 gets full of mud flying off the tire and basically blasted by rocks, so this is my new solution....

I found these on ebay.. Should be perfect.

Looking good! Like the bumper.

which MT wheels are those? I see they have two different back spacing ones for the polished wheel, also totally different load ratings.

don't like how close the exhaust is to the tranny cooler lines... may have to make a heat shield for that portion....

Spent a bunch of time working on the door pods…. Thanks @c2dfj45

Here is the final product. I really like the bass that the Rockford Fosgate speakers put out, but they are 6.75" speakers, so had to do some adapting to the kit. Good news is that they are not really deep speakers, so did not interfere with window operations.

Here you can see how I routed out the MDF to fit the speaker flush, what you don't see is that I made the original MDF piece about 1/2 larger all around.

the issue was that the speaker cone would hit the new plastic pod, so I had to space it back about 3/8 inch, so I made a spacer out of some old cutting board material (black) that I had laying around.

Here is how much I had to cut out... I just use snips on it, no sparks.

You can see the clearance on the speaker to the pod here..

Looks great.........easiest way to get some really quality sounds in the truck.

Make sure you get some sound deadening in the doors. We had some stick on foam that we put right behind the speakers(on the sound deadener that was on the door skin). I read somewhere that the foam helps soften things up. If you really want to pump out some sound, make a filler plate for the big lower opening on the door, sound deaden it and then cover up any of the holes in the door. You'd be surprised how much that helps.

The outer door skin has sound deadner on it -- Second skin thick mats. Are you saying to use same material in place of the plastic factory vapor barrier?

Use some of your stick on deadener to cover up the holes in the door. I don't like replacing the door's vapor barrier with sound deadener....it's a real mess if you have to work on it down the road. We usually always stick on some sound deadener to the backside of the inner door panel to help quiet it down too....kind of a pain to reach in and back around to do it but it works very well. Alternatively you could use their Spectrum product to coat the outside of the door panel....then put your vapor barrier on.

Here's a 60 door we just did. Vapor barrier wasn't on yet. We use sheetmetal to make a cover for the big opening...then we cover it with sound deadener and use butyl to hold it on(I think we use screws in the 70s to hold it on).
