Spring is starting to sprung at the Klickitat ice house. No, not for river ice - this building was built to make dry ice from natural CO2 found in nearby soda springs. Prior to that, they tried bottling and selling it as carbonated mineral water but the bottling technology at the time couldn't hold the fizz for very long. Now it's a refuge for chimney swifts.

My son and I are restoring a nice '89 FJ62 survivor, and he took it on a 5K mile climbing trip this past summer, stopping at the grand canyon! I thought this looked like it should have been in the Original Toyota Sales brochures ! It still needs some TLC (mainly paint) but the truck never missed a beat. (He also got three offers from people wanting to buy it)
