Just curious, I was if swapping a 3f intake and a Holley sniper kit is advantageous on a 3fe engine?

what are your goals?

Better then a Sniper would be to do a MS product or Terminator X on the existing OEM designed port injection.

Really just exploring options, wanna upgrade the system as a whole while retaining the 3fe.

The sniper would probably be easier but ditching the 3Fe intake manifold would be a downgrade in performance. You would be better to go @cruisermatt 's advice and retain the stock intake as its properly tuned to the airflow needs of the engine. Plus it will look stock which has other benefits.

Be more specific as to what you are looking to upgrade.

Sorry, so throttle body, the electronic management system.

You can upgrade the management system without downgrading the mechanicals of the engine.
That being said unless you are putting more air into it (via camshaft events, or forced induction) or controlling ignition timing (getting rid of the distributor in favor of COP) you will gain practically nothing in terms of performance.

Probably the most efficient ratio of performance increase to investment would be to add a turbocharger set to run 5-7 psi of boost and run a newer fuel management system
