Well my turn with the electrician was this weekend. We hung the panel and other peripheral devices required to work towards the CO. Tomorrow I will call for the rough in inspection.

While I was waiting my turn I sealed the bottom of the metal with Great Stuff and silicone. Then I laid down the floor plate. After that I installed a 2x8 horizontal girt at the 8’ level all the way around the building for added rigidity in the walls. You can see both the plate and the girt in this picture.

Also my concrete guy finally moved the extra load of gravel from my back yard.

I passed the final inspection today! Now I don’t have to wait on anyone (except the guy installing the lift) anymore. Also my daughter dropped off the security team today.

Meet Bob and his sister Storm.

I have a Bob too. He was a stray that showed up in the backyard. One of the first times I saw him he was sitting on the skidloader, so he became Bob the Cat.

@PAToyota thats cool! Bob and Storm were born with bobtails. That’s how Bob got his name.

Only in the south can you have Tornado Warnings (with tornadoes) and in less than 12 hours a Winter Storm Warning!

We eventually got 7” of my favorite form of precipitation last week. It was quite lovely! Too bad I had to go to work. I didn’t get to take Samson out to play in it. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I have also been busy inside the shop. I borrowed some scaffolding from a fellow mudder which facilitated the installation of 4 additional high bay LED’s, my 208v circuit and then 12 double gang 110 receptacles. I have the lift installation tentatively set for 15 January.

I was able to secure the rights to salvage this local pole barn that suffered catastrophic damage in a recent storm. It’s about 50’x100’x20’. There’s a lot of useable wood and I will probably use the metal for my inside wall finish.

Yesterday I brought this 1920’s Frigidaire home for the shop.

Love the old pump. We had that same unit on our farm when I was growing up for diesel fuel. Love the fridge too but watch your power meter if you plan on using it. A friend of mine that owns an HVAC company has an old CocaCola ice box. He keeps it unplugged unless he’s having a party. Says he can watch the meter speed up when he turns it on.

Why do you have 15 amp and 20 amp receptacles in the same box? Are they on the same circuit? 20 amp circuit?

Just not paying attention. It’s all on a 20 amp circuit. I will add that to my list.
