Miscalculation was that we essentially moved into a deep freezer. It took most of the three days to heat up walls, floors, furniture, fireplace rock etc. Bonnie went down one morning to make coffee and glanced at the old-fashion thermometer outside the kitchen window. All the red was in the little globe at the bottom. The first number above was -20. Found her huddled over a floor register so warm air would blow up her robe.
