Up for sale is a well preserved, original example HDJ81 1995 Land Cruiser 80 Series with 89,500 original miles. This Landcruiser was
purchased from it's original owner outside of Tokyo Japan, where it had spent the majority of it's life in a garage. It's a 1995 model year finished in rare Nightshadow blue. All original interior and exterior, original paint. Highest trim level: VX limited trim, that includes factory alcantara leather seats, sunroof, third row factory delete, factory mounted rear spare tire swing out carrier, 1HD-FT 24 valve turbo diesel 4.2 liter engine (debatably the best diesel engine toyota has ever put out), A442F auto transmission ( extremely heavy duty used in toyota buses), leather wrapped italian Nardi steering wheel, aftermarket Japanese forged alloy two-piece 16x10 wheels, 4 door, 5 seater, AC, Heat, power sunroof, updated stereo/CD player, and more. This being a 95-97 late generation 80 series it features front and rear disc brakes, full floating rear end. This has not been modified under the bonnet and all the underpinnings remain stock Toyota OEM. It's ready to be kept original, or built into the ultimate overland rig. I have been the first and only owner of this rig in the USA. This has been my daily rig for the past year and it has continued to be garage kept since my ownership here in the US. Interior and exterior present very well as there is no rust and no body damage / repairs on this vehicle at all. . Drives and sounds like a dream. Smooth and tons o torque. Will be quiite sad to see it go but hope to find a good new home for it

It is a beaut! Love that Blue color.
I just picked up a 1996 24V 1HD-FT... and love it!
The Diesels should be going up in price because:
Best Engine in a 80
Fuel efficient 24 MPGs ( FZJs are half that!)
RHD is a blast and easy to get used to.
In fact, the only draw back is you will end up preferring it to LHD.
I did a video talking about 80s and showed 3 of them that I have.
IT's on YT, just look up: 'Let's talk 80 series'

Shhh... Keep the 81 series on the down low...
80 series owners have no idea.
I want to buy a 2nd one for family member and want to keep prices low...

You have 12v or 24valve?
I went crazy in Land Cruiser Diesels this past year...
HZJ73 1HZ
Then a HJ61 12HT
And now the creme de la creme 1HD-FT
Love them all...
Way better than 2F, 3FE and FZJ and Diesel sippers.
Have them all on YT- CruisingtheLand

I have a 24 valve (the blue one you commented on) and a 12 valve. I actually bought the 12 valve first and then found the one on here. Both are awesome. I also have an 87 60 series and a couple LX470s. Absurd! Hahaha
