I bought a license plate bracket from Cool Cruisers with lights and covers. I have an ’84 BJ42 with 24v, will this blow the bulbs? Should I add some sort of resistor?

Why not just switch out to 24 volt lamps? Have a few military trailers that have NATO 24 volt tail lights. Just located same watt and base lamps in 12 volts. Also think some LED work in a range of voltages.

Thanks!, I think that is the answer, I just need to find the right small lamp. The housing for the lamp says 12v but with a LED build I can’t see any issues.

as a good reference - type into Google “12v to 24v bulb conversion chart”
1st image will be from IH8MUD

lordco can get some
Cat dealerships (heavy equipment) can get almost all, make sure you provide the part # for them
based on cross referencing
