& there PULL Dedicated Pull Switches

- NOT the Manual Black analogue Knob and ROD on the OLDER trucks .........

- My info so far is simple 1/75 - Later Can have one , YES

- 12/74 - older , NO

like the below example ?

came in all variations 40 series and 55 also 56 series too

knobs can be RED , BLUE or Green i have seen ?

Same truck as above screen shot , this driver actually operates the FD KNOB pull switch during test drive !

the switch is electric , this much i know !

weather a solenoid or a vacuum actuator electrically controlled i do not know ?

@fjfjfj might be able to help. Unless he sold it he has a 83 JDM BJ46 with the vacuum operated 4WD. Not sure when since 72 was last time Toyota imported a vacuum operated 4WD but switched from a mechanical to electric in the 40 series.

Cool!! I've never seen this style of FD knob before. Thank you for sharing.

On an early cruiser, i had the plastic FD knob. When friends asked what it was for....I'd say "Oh the FD knob? It's for when s$%& gets real and you approach a F$&%ing Disaster....you pull that knob."
