Peeps with early FJ40s up to 1968 and looking for the super rare tail light protective cones..... look no further: Loan me a pre-'69 tail light cone for mold? - https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/loan-me-a-pre-69-tail-light-cone-for-mold.1046766/post-12316208

We worked hard to make these happen a while ago and just wanted to raise awareness for this product from @TheNeek
PM him for a set.

Yup! The ones that fit on the 64-68 FJ40s :). 69 and later had the larger round lamps.

Those look great. Molded or 3d printed?

What are you using for brackets? Mine are toast but the cones survived.

The tail light from local
So I got the tail lights from the Toyota dealer in town for like $60 for the pair. The brackets from SOR part # 148-25B-APR for $40. I was just missing the cone until now. Now I just have to clean the frame and put everything together.

The taillight brackets come from Mark’s Off Road.😉

Is there supposed to be a gasket between the cone and the bracket?

I wondered that as well and I believe there is. The grooves on the protective cone base mount perfectly to the gaskets that come with the lights. Of course those are NLA so I think the best route is to buy another set of taillights and poach the rear gasket off of them to use for the cones.
