I'm going to go with "blows up" because I see @wngrog has his hands on it.
True story, and we won’t be explaining, but within moments of him laying hands on it, we had to get the welder out and weld on a freshly painted new motor.

Have never had to do that before :D

I’m innocent

So that's what all the woopow looks like?! I always wondered and now I know.

Lou put 150 miles on the Raptor getting parts and belts and s*** to make this stupid HO alternator work. We jimmied with the damn thing for over an hour until we called it and added the OEM alternator

next we added the clutch and stabbed it. Put it on the lift and installed the trans and transfer from the bottom.
I tapped out at 6 and Lou went for more parts.

Lou welded up the exhaust and O2.
I wonder how much time in my life I have scraping Toyota stickers off

this is the Gates PN for a good heater hose to get the firewall heater valve to block hose out of. That hose needs a 90* to properly flow

I realized we had to redo all his wire ends and add a junction bar to clean this wiring up so we called it before the fire.

We have a new motor to break in so I’ll need to wait till Lou finishes work tomorrow to fire it up but hopefully I can have it all tidied up and ready by then.

Really interested to see how it drives when it’s done

I usually don’t care one way or another on what a fella does with his cars but of Lu sells this truck after all this he knows I’d kill him.
Pot meet kettle.....

Skid plates.

Big ass battery cables and grounds.

Rewiring all the terminal ends and adding a power bar

Final install of the air cleaner.

Lou got there about 4 and had to fix my dads dump trailer but when he got settled we went for the big first start.

And that did not go as planned. The battery was weak and there was no or very little fire.

I double checked that I was not 180 out. Tried again. Again. Again until the battery was done and the starter was smelling.

I redid some grounds and recharges the battery but now I think I’ve fried the dissy due to too much low voltage trying.

I’m off to the Ozarks to get a fresh and Lou is picking up a new igniter and coil and the battery is getting a recondition charge.

We will get it soon.

We got the ole Milk Jug started. It fought us a bit. Was not priming fuel but I dumped some in and we got it going. Now it’s priming. Starting. Running. Stopping.

we burned the cam in at 2000rpm for 20 minutes. Went and seated the rings. Got the Sniper settings dialed in.
