Their is a adapter for the 5.3 to bolt the sanden compressor to the 5.3 which I believe is what vintage air uses. I don't know who makes it but google should bring it up. You can use other compressors too but just have to adapt the hoses. Thats about all you have to do.

Is their any programming that has to be done to the 5.3 ecu or does VA's ecu control the compressor?
I believe the VA ECU does all the required magic.

Did you guys do the lower or upper mount with the compressor? I'm wondering if there is room for the lower mount?
Its unlikely there is room for the lower mount.

I don't have a v8 swap. Ive pondered how to do it with my VA. I don't see a lower mount working personally.

Did you ever complete this install? Which compressor mount orientation and condenser did you go with? Thinking about sticking with the stock lower mount compressor.
