When I first encountered the 3mm gap I freeked out this unique 3F non USA FSM guided me to home base and eased my mind after all it was a clients shop job back then and not my own land cruiser so mission critical everything had to be everything

The dissys with a drive pin BELOW the gear, seat the gear on the top of the oil pump. They do not register on the block.

If drive pin is above the gear, dissy seats on top face of engine block. Gear floats above oil pump.
