Followed you link... I hate shipping to Canada.

$3.81 CDN for part... $38.27 for shipping. It’s a bit ridiculous.
Wow! That’s ridiculous...You should talk to your local Toyota dealer. Just call them and tell them the part number mentioned in my link and they can order it with no shipping if you pick it up at the dealer. I order most of my parts that are still available that way.

Installed a new EGT guage.

Ordered the proper kit complete with new gauge and probe.

Seemed to easy. And it was...

Pulled the original probe out and it took all the threads with it. Had to drill and tap new threads and buy an adapter to get the new probe in.

Thankfully my local auto part store had everything I needed. All went smoothly and now I know how hot my exhaust is.

No clue how those numbers help me but at least it works!!!!!

Soooo many rivets!!! Roof going back together and getting ready for primer!

Correcting a PPO's shackle stupidity. No need to do it right if you have access to a scrap metal pile and a local hardware store. Reusing 40+ year old bushing will also save a few bucks. Front is done for today, rear will be next.

Main wiring harness cleaned, inspected, and re-wrapped prior to being reinstalled in my soon to be finished resto. Only took 19 hours...View attachment 2605609
Nice work. With 19 hours into it, how many connectors, splices and wire replacing did you have to do? These harnesses take time to go through.

NOTE: it may no longer be available until Toyota’s system is updated. Your best bet is to call your local Toyota dealer parts department and ask them to order. They can check availability across country instantly and not waste time.

I always throw the hood back!
