Has any one attemped to convert their manual transmission clutch mechanism to a semi automatic without swapping gearbox? My dad had a knee injury and wants a 70 series pickup truck for Africa overland excursion - except they never sold truck with an auto transmission. The idea is to keep the manual box but replace the manual clutch function with some mechanism that will release/engage the clutch with either a lever or a switch.

To clarify; the objective is that gear selection can remain manual. Only looking for an alternative to the leg function on the clutch pedal.
