Thanksgiving in Wayne co. Cold canyons and pie on the tailgate - can’t beat it.

I was puckering just looking at that 4Runner's rear end slipping off. 😬
Not that bad. Self-extraction was easy with all those trees around. While it was sucking me down, it was mostly pulling me sideways, perpendicular to the trail.

3k miles on the runner in the past month. I drove out nearly to Memphis a couple weekends ago and picked up a green GX after about a year of searching. The GX towed it back with ease.

This past weekend, I drove out to Little Sahara in NW Oklahoma for some sand dune fun with friends. The runner was definitely underpowered for jumping, and I was wringing it for all it had in 4lo 3rd gear typically.

Its a beaut, I asked Luke if it was for sale. I’m sure you get that a lot. I’ll be down that way once or twice this year.
Thanks! I put 37" Trepadors on it and love them but I am going to need to clearance a little bit but I don't want to affect the look of the wheel wells much so that is my next project. I previously had 37' procomp MT2 on it and they cleared fine.

I can see that. I just put a set of 37” TRXUS on my truck and they are a BIG 37. Using a level I am 38”. A little difference can be a game changer with wheel wells.

Not the most exciting post, a big winter storm changed our plans for a camping & hiking trip. (Texans aren't use to snow & ice)
Rather than canceling entirely, I switched to Plan B. Get a hotel room in Fort Davis and tour West Texas.
Ft Davis, Marfa, Presidio, Bend State Park, Lajitas, Terilingua & Alpine.

I approve this message. I need to get back down to Big Bend. It's only been 25 years.

The wheels and tires that came on our 85 were not my style. Swapped the 32x12.0x15 BFG’s on white spoke wheels, for a more stock size and look.235x75x15 Goodyear Wanglers on Toyota Land Cruiser steelies with hubcaps.

Last weekend adventures in west central Alberta, sunny and bright. Still lots of snow to be found in the hills. First run on manual swapped '85. A fresh convert is learning the ways of the wrench and the woods.
Alberta is on my list. With any luck BC, Yukon, and NwT will happen this summer.
