ahem. Yes. Not as good as how my wife thinks through things. She has a knack for it.

Trust me, the more space the more work it is to get it right.
I thought there is enough space I will see how it develops.
I’m still spending a lot of time getting things organized.

Just start with deviding the floor in sections using tape. Then decide what will be going where and take it from there.
Saves time in the long run.

Don’t forget to add a safety protocol, your sons can never be too young to learn the basic safety rules.

Great tips! After a while, you feel like your in material moving business. Moving it twice is no fun. Main reason we moved it was to gain an extra bay and place shelving in a place the forklift can pirouette in without issue. Sucks to maneuver heavy loads near rigs.

Also trying to minimize horizontal surfaces because they just end up a trash piling place.

We have a pretty decent sized welding table on casters we are going to keep free of things to move it around to work areas. No more tables.

putting tape down will help the boys stay within their lanes .

It’s been a while since we updated. House remodel is in full swing. Moved all the rigs over. Thinning the herd as well. Sold the red 60 to a friend. Last bits of Knick knacks left to get out of the old barn which is emptying out.

Mental note- never move a barn if you don’t have to.

Almost there.

It was great to have you @samc2447. House has another 2-3weeks before we can move in. Looking forward to making this a hangout for cruiserheads. Curious to see what you do with the pig under the new business. Super stoked to see your new venture ( Northwest Design and Fabrication) take off. Glad to see a first class cruiser outfit in TX.

Moving sucks...
I have been going through a 40x80 shop, plus silos, outbuildings and a barn for the last month...SO MUCH STUFF!

My dad lives in Waxahachie, TX so I hope to be able to drive down someday and hang with you guys.

Milestone. Old Elf barn is empty and powerwashed. Going up for sale this week. Leaving the lift as a enticement. Will be getting a new one at the new elf barn.

Texas rat snake. Barns attract birds, mice and other rodents, food for rat snakes and that's why snakes often are seen in barns.

My son @Cowboy45 has been wanting dog he can grow up with, perhaps be a good shop dog. Meet Lonestar. 6 week old golden retriever. Fun little guy.

It’s been a while. Lots of sorting. Placed parts in 18 bins and cataloged them. Wanted to do this for a while. Feels good to have it done. Also got the lift unpacked and ready for install with the elves. Last thing I need to do is get my air system plumbed.

Elves have been busy. @SipLife is working on his ls Swap on blue bonnet. He also getting the 70 series axles rebuilt to go into his truck. @Cowboy45 is fine tuning interferences with fan/ radiator/ condenser. Next will be trans x member. We will fire the mock up engine. Get her rolling. Then blow apart.

The whole family and r2d2 (trusty forklift) got at the lift today. It was a cold and wet day. We got it done. Another milestone. @Cowboy45 sharpened his skills on R2D2. He is getting to be a power user. A skill to fall back on if he needs it.
