"The Duke"
Blue Vapor Metallic (8P6)
Taupe (88)
I came about The Duke in March of 2020 from a gentleman in WY that the vehicle is aptly named after.
This will serve less as a build thread and more of a telling of the vehicles history with some build/maintenance speckled throughout.
I am the 3rd owner of this vehicle and when purchased in March of 2020 the vehicle had 213,000 miles and was located in WY living most of its days in a garage (not to say that The Duke didn't see dirt on occasion.) It was mostly built when acquired and I have been in the process of baselining the vehicle. I will provide (to the best of my knowledge) a break down of the modifications that the vehicle has acquired in the 19 years it has been running around the US below. Prior to the 2nd owner the vehicle lived most of its life in south Texas. The majority of the modifications currently on the vehicle were done by the 2nd owner.
The vehicle now resides in a small town in south MS and is a daily driver, some say I am crazy for driving a vehicle with so many miles on a daily basis. I am sure I wont need to explain myself to the fine folk here why I am completely confident in taking this vehicle across the country and back again. Even though a vehicle as seasoned as The Duke does require maintenance and upkeep it is a labor of love (while at times frustrating) I would do over and over again.
At the time of writing this initial post I have had the vehicle for right at 8 months and the mileage is around 227,000
