We had a stock xterra with us that we dragged through it. But I would say 33s and at least one locker would in reality be recommended. Armor will help. Likely the front and rear bumpers will get drug a little. This time of year its russian roulete as far as snow. A snow storm could clobber the trail at anytime. A winch and hi lift should also be mandatory just in case. Should take about 4 hours. 80s go on that trail all the time.

I’ve run it all year, with snow it can be slick in the woods. I’ve driven a taco on 33s through it. Way funnier in the 80, most sections of tough obstacles can be bypassed or easier lines taken. I would do it in the fall winter or spring, summer time can be hot. If you wanna go I can meet ya over there. Lots of other way cooler trails there also you can spend week there no problem

It's common for 80's to make short work of that trail. Yes, @Nay or @Andrew Bluemel have both driven it recently. You will be fine too. As said before, it's pretty much open year round, except when a storm rolls in and covers it with snow.

Ya it’s not to bad there is sorta a gatekeeper of sorts but after that it’s not to bad. A 80 makes short work of it. You can sorta make the trail as hard or as easy as you want. Hit my rock sliders pretty hard in a few spots but that was just due to knowing they are there and using them. We went in a group with a unlocked 3rd gen with a 3 inch lift with no bumpers or sliders and he never made contact with any rocks just some more careful spotting. He never had to get tugged either

Chinaman is not the preferred nomenclature, Asian American please.

Yep, if you can get past the first 100 yards you can do the whole trail. It’s a lot of fun on 37’s for optional lines. It will take 6 hours with a group as everybody tries the harder lines - the entire trail is just about some level of obstacle now because the UTV have dug out everything, so that’s all the more fun these days.

This area is in the CO banana belt shadowed by the Sawatch range so it is mostly dry year round. I’ve run it in an unexpected 4” of snow and it was a riot. There is no exposure (gulch trail) and a dual locked 80 can still take most of the hard lines...with a well equipped group, obviously. Snow has a lot of grip :hillbilly:
