My truck came with a lift gate, but it was the wrong color and was missing some linkage pieces.
I happened to be browsing eBay and this one popped up, semi local.
I went up after work and grabbed it.
I still need the lower strut mounts and lower latch strikers, but I’m closer than I was yesterday.

Automotive Touchup will match your _present_ color if you send them your kick vent. I ordered their factory code for spring green and found my paint had noticeably faded in 50 years.
 
Looking great! Once the paint comes off, the easy-off Oven cleaner works great at taking the primer, without damaging the paint underneath.
Congrats on finding that hatch. Love the build!

Gonna try the easy off on the passenger side. I switched to acetone and it gets the light blue off better than the lacquer thinner was.
