Just got this truck and looks to have about a 3.5” lift on it (guessing). The tires look to small for the lift to me but they are new...the tires are p235/75/r16s

suggestions?

The truck will be used to trail ride on average rutted back roads in New England

and also to run short errands in.

And yes..I promise I will learn how to spell “height”!

Well, the rear quarters have been cut :( so much larger tires would fit. 33x10.5x15 is a very popular size and would look good (I run them on my own, with a 3" lift), though you'd have to go back to stock 15" wheels for those. I'm not up on 16" tire sizes, but try to get some that are 33" tall.

Nice looking 40 by the way.

X2 with 1911's comments. I also run 33x10.5x15's and would offer that if you go bigger, say 35's you will likely need to start thinking about re-gearing. I'm assuming you have 4.11 gearing now.

Thanks. Got a picture of yours?

Check out 255-85 R16. Tall skinny 33” tire for 16” wheels. I think BFGoodrich makes them in a KO2 all terrain. Your current tires are about 30”

Your tyres look ridiculously small!! Chuck some 33 inch muddies or all terrains on it and drive it. Looks like a good 40.

Yankee Toys Fall Gathering Oct 8 thru 11 in Hancock NH.

Get some tires and come and join us. Trails for all levels.

235-85R-16 is 32" tall. To me, a good compromise.

Big tires put more load on steering components. Can put more load on your arms and make you think of adding power steering.

Very nice looking truck you have there. Like others have said, 33” tall tires would be perfect.
I just replaced the 33x12.5 15 tires that were on my truck when I bought it. Replaced with
33x10.5 15 on stock steel wheels. My lift is probably close to yours.

Been running 33s for 16+ years. I’d keep the 16s and run 255/85R16 LT tires. Stay away from P rated tires.
