About 4” is minimum.

Check my measuring of RC 4” springs: Rough Country 4” spring dimensions

Thanks for those measurements! Are the Spring eyes all 35mm (1 3/8") in diameter?
If so, the Rough Country lift is at a good price for me to get and then swap the bushings.
Looks like SOR has some with the 18mm center for the pins.

Yes. But the RC bushings are for Ø15 mm pins. I changed them.

Perfect, not that I want to have the exact same lift as you, but what bushings did you get for it?
If it works, might as well ask right? lol

I recently went down a similar road since I have an 81 also. After figuring out the spring eye bushing size issue, I went with the ProComp 2.5” Lift springs, factory new rubber bushings, Cool Cruisers HFS Shackles for the FJ62 series which are offered in a 1.5” over stock length for the front and a 2” over stock for the rear which should yield approximately 3.25” in front and 3.50 in the rear. I may not even use the lift shackles in the front. For shocks I’ve purchased Bilstein 5125’s. I’ve pieced it All together but all new for about $800. Just need to pull the trigger on UBolts. Obviously I’m in no hurry lol
