Hello from a newbie with an 87 Cruiser, manual 5 speed.
I noticed a lot of oil and what appears to be a missing plug or bolt?
I'm in a remote location and don't want to drive it as it looks like a lot of oil isn't where it should be? :)
Any ideas please?
cheers,
KJ

No. Just a weep hole. Empty. There's supposed to be a rubber plug there, but they're always gone. I put a piece of duct tape over mine, to keep crap out. You may have a leaking rear main seal which allowing oil to puddle in that inspection cover.

The original rubber plug that snapped into that hole was loose fitting. Not oil tight. Don't seal it up completely or the cover will accumulate oil. The cover isnt an oil pan. Whatever oil drips down inside it should have a way to weep out.
