Welcome! I’m in Highlands Ranch and have a ‘78. Holler if you need a hand turning wrenches or whatever.
Had I moved to CO Highland Ranch was at the top of my list. Also have a ‘78. How do you like Highland Ranch?

Thanks for posting pics. Mustard 532👍 My brothers ‘76 will be going back to that original great color as well. They(most) need rear sill and quarters. ‘78 was best year IMO. More pics please. Welcome to the addiction.

A few pictures to start....

Based on the data plate, other than being an FJ40 with a 2f engine, can anybody tell me anything else about it? I see guys on this, and other forums, refer to their rigs as 07/78. I assume this is month and year?

Look inside drivers side door, should be a plate on A pillar showing month and date of manufacture. My Freeborn Red is a ‘10/78.

Just realized that I failed to take pictures of the rear interior.. The sill (?) has a fiberglass repair. I'll post those pics later today.

And to finish up, a picture of the Warden and I on the South Platte!:clap::clap:

Lived one year in Highlands Ranch while we were looking for some acreage. HR was nice. We live about 10 miles SSW of HR and west of Sedalia. Love the area!

LOTS of pix. Very good. Consider this my official welcome to wacky MudWorld :flipoff2:
One question: can you weld?

Hmmmmm.... I'm not the sharpest guy around, but that question has a deeper reach. :) :) Am I in store for a LOT of welding? To answer your question, HardWay, No. Ima have to find a shop to get it done. The guy I bought it from can weld but is limited to thick gauge. I'd like to learn how to- maybe I can take a class at a local community college or trade school?

Reach out to your fellow Colorado Mudders. If you really want to learn welding, some of them can provide all kinds of help that'll save you $$ and a ton of aggravation.

Thanks TLS3601!
You are welcome, reach out any time. Been down the ‘78 road👍 Next one is the ‘76. Looks as though lots of the original pieces are there. Plenty of potential. Tom
