NOS OEM intermittent wiper relay for 60 series. These will fit 40 series but there is an additional mounting arm for 40 series relay.
$115 each shipped.
Here is a link to the 40 series relay (SOLD - NOS OEM FJ40, FJ45, BJ42, HJ47 wiper relay). Please note the difference in the mounting arm.

I’ve gotta ask. I’m assuming this is not a plug and play to convert a non intermittent wiper fj40. Is there a sub harness to plug into the factory harness to do that? Is the wiper switch different? How do you control the delay?
I’ve got a dealer install type intermittent wiper box on mine now and just not quite as nice as I would like

The US FJ40 wiper motors were switched on the negative side of the motor. The Toyota modules are designed to switch on the positive side of the motor. There must have been some FJ40s sold with a different wiper motor (82-83?) that switched on the positive side, like the 60 series wipers. I use a datsun module with the Toyota switch to get intermittent wipers in my 73 FJ40.

Thanks, Russ. Here’s an NOS intermittent wiper motor for reference.

Were the 81-84 FJ40s in the US equipped with these? If you had a 81-84 then you could use the Toyota module. No chance with my 73.

Russ Thanks for the info. I’ll have to check my delay module and see how it’s wired. I would hope that it’s controlling the ground side ,but I better make sure.
Fj40guru,thanks for letting him chime in.
Hope I can return the favor.
