Howdy Guys:

On either side of my front knuckle assembly there are two threaded holes with a nut in them secured by a bolt. The bolts have odd shaped rounded heads. See red circle in pic below. Am wondering what purpose these serve or used to serve? They don't seem to be hooked up to anything now.

Your first picture is correct. It makes common sense that the rounded head would act as the stop. If the threads were the stop, it would compromise any adjustment. Look at this pic and see. You need to make the adjustment.
