255’s will fit great

Front truck. 235’s. No lift.

Rear 255s with 2.5” lift.

Do the 255s

For the record, my Yokohama M/T G003’s in 235/85/16 are a solid 1” taller at the Hub (measured from the ground up) was than the 235/85/16 BFG KO2’s I have.

Ground to hub is 15”

Ground to hub on my 33x10.50x15 BFG KM2s are also 15”

So. We all know BFG runs small but now I know Yokohama runs large to size.

@woody and I both tested the X M/T Yokohama’s in California last month and they were WAY big to size (40s looked like 42” BFGs)

It’s a solid tall skinny fit those looking in the 33x9.50 world we once loved so

I don’t know, after seeing this picture, it‘s made the choice even harder. Now, I’m really liking the Yok’s. Is the yellow truck your’s? Can I get some more pictures of it?

Here are some chunksters....35 X 11.50 X R15 or 16’s. Don’t know much about ‘em though.

Those Toyo’s looks sick! Are they loud?
I can hear them, but they only raised the cabin noise 2.5 dB. No big deal.

They only made 100 of them. So far.....

Does this apply to an 82 HJ47 Pickup as well?

Of course every tire manufacturer is different but the Yokohama MT G003 in 235/85-16 is a perfect tire for a non lifted 40 series. It’s basically a true 31x9

Pictured on the green truck.

Yellow truck has 255/85-16 with a 2.5” lift

Thanks for the info!

I just got these for my bj73 and like them. 235 85r16 radial extra grip recaps from tirecappers $105 each free shipping. At 32” they don't sap your power too much. Being narrow they Ride straight and true don't wander or hard to steer even with a locker in the front. They grip, dig, and pull they don't float on top or load up and spin. You get a little noise starting at 45 miles per hour but no real vibration........skinny vs wide??? skinny tall tires are better for traveling and getting you where you need to go from point a to point b when conditions can get a bit bad. Going around the ridiculous holes if you need to...... Big wide tires are better for playing in holes in places you don't really need to be. High hp high speed sand dunes carving, mud bogging, etc..

Are those Tacoma, or 4Runner rims? Did you need spacers? Looks good.

Never mind, I just saw the info in your other posting.
Two of the rims were bought new they are Tacoma rims. The other two were found in the junkyard and look like Tacoma rims. There was contact with the tie rod ends the amount of thickness of the paint. It self clearanced before I realized there was contact. .... So you do need some space but not much to clear. 2 washers over each lug before you bolt on the rim would probably work. The cheap quarter inch spacers at the auto parts store would definitely work.

A very bleak tall skinny tire market has steered me into tunnel vision for the narrowest, tallest, radial out there...KENDA KLEEVERS 35 X 10.5 X 17R was all alone. $741.11 for 4 tires was the cheapest I’d spent on a new set of tires for many years.

I wanted a more aggressive tread but the only one I had found was the Silverstone MT-117 that I previously posted. Made in Malaysia it seemed a mystery to find a price or to find a dealer that sold them. The Kenda’s are made in Vietnam. I waited and waited for someone to produce a tall skinny radial, 37’s would of been nice but I was... ”dying on the vine” and could wait no longer. Evidently taint enough $$$ in our niche of a market to make ‘em ? Who’d ever of thought that I would end up buying my tires at WALMART !!

Cool! Get some measurements when they're on wheels, 32 psi. Curious what they measure out to 👌
