We have a nice 3 day 2 night overland trip planned as follows :
4/24 @ 9am driver meeting in Baker ca (fill up ALL fuel) Which gas station TBD
leave on hwy 127 towards death valley . Turn (west) Harry wade road (dirt rd) . We will visit an historic cabin & also warm springs ranch (abandon) as we travel towards our 1st night 4/24 of camping at "geologist cabin" or another cabin nearby in butte valley .
4/25 @ 9am or earlier begin the next leg (west) towards scenic goler wash cyn , descending gradually . We will take a short trip to historic "barker ranch" Made famous by the manson gang . Continue down goler wash to pannamint valley . We will exit the canyon and head (north) on wingate rd towards Ballaratt historic ghost town .
We will continue north of Ballaratt area (time permitting ,group discussion ) to "jail canyon " trail . This is a nice intermediate trail (4wd low) , that will take us to an excellent old mining camp for exploring . We may camp here , group discussion & time of day ?
Preferred camping site 4/25 is Minietta cabin (blm land) , about 1 hour from jail cyn site .
4/26 @ 9am pack up for trip south to Trona , ridgecrest and home via US 395 .
It should be noted that after Baker there will be NO fuel till pannamint valley area . Nearest fuel will be "Pannamint springs" hwy 190 in death valley .
Recommend at least 5-10 gal extra fuel , plus adequate water !!
weather is mild in evenings , low 80's daytime .
Look forward to seeing you on the trails , start planning !! All are welcome for this trip , please rsvp to this thread and/or the club email channels .
You can contact me directly also .

Death valley trip update. Unfortunately the virus and self isolation persist as of this time. The death valley trip is officially postponed. This may be a trip that can be rescheduled in the fall? The club can discuss at a later date . If anybody is interested in a simple overnight trip? And has a suggestion, for a location just to get away from this pandemic grind and self isolation. You can contact me or post here. I hope everyone and their families are staying safe and healthy, happy Easter holiday weekend.

Bummer, Marc! However, I think it's the right decision. Rather than cancel, let's postpone & try to make it a fall trip. Weather can be nice then past the heat of summer.
