Was up in Vegas for a couple of days with the family after New Years and we went out to Red Rock Canyon park to the west of the city. Been to Vegas a dozen times in the last years and never went over there. It's a super beautiful place even though some portions are covered up with tourists. The first dramatic stop looked like you emptied out the Vegas strip onto the boulder fields! But with a little effort we found a great trail called Pine Creek near the end of the loop and had views like this.

I used to live there and that is one of my favorite places!

Did a quick trip up and back to Winslow today. Not the normal cows I see grazing by the highway.

saw this WWII or Korean-era Jeep with trailer at a desert museum in Goffs CA. I'm sure some of y'all have been there. Lots of 4x4 guys would love to get their hands on that trailer. During WWII there were 15,000 soldiers from Patton's army stationed there for training.

That would be me. A small group wheeled up the Great Western Trail and ended at the Bitterroot Brewing Company. Audie’s brother owns the place and I think their daughter is now the manager. Great beer!

Landed a few of these while we were there

Found this Japanese market 4 door 70 series at Walmart to add to my collection at work. Needless to say I was geeking out about it all day yesterday

Fun watch of a superb 80 while drinking my coffee this morning....

I remember up until the mid eighties the forest were open in the winter. Always fun running in fresh deep snow. Very few opportunities to do that anymore. Plus it's been over ten years since with had a winter with a lot of snow. Think it was 2009-2010 winter had two hundred inches.
