I finally put these wheels and tires on my rig. I‘ve had the wheels (TRD 17x7 flat black) sitting in my garage for over 6 months. The tires are 285/70 R17 KO2s effectively 33”. The aspect ratio looks nearly identical to the really old 31x10.5 BFG ATs I had on it.
Unfortunately I also recently discovered that I have a cracked cylinder head so that’s a major bummer. If anyone has recommendations for where to get a ‘new’ one let me know.

Got to see my old 60 too.... special project going on there. :) Happy that my truck went to a caretaker and having the knowledge it’s long lineage will continue. :) @bottombracket

Just a bunch of small stuff:
*had it detailed for the first time since I owned it (inside and out)
*took it to the Chevrolet Dealer to have the oil changed and tires rotated. Even though I made an appointment and explained the LS3 install, the guy at the dealer directing traffic told me I was at the wrong place and the Toyota dealership was down the road another two blocks. He still didn’t believe me when I told him what was under the hood. I could change the oil myself, but eventually I’ll need a level of service on this engine and 6L80e trans that I can’t do myself, so getting a history started with the local dealer. I’ve got 5,000 miles logged on it since getting it back from Tor and it runs like a dream.
*Installed LED light upgrade in the dome lights. Wow, that makes a huge difference at night, opening up the doors and tailgate.
*attached my center console pad with lag bolts (up through the center console lid). The pad sits over a wood core. The prior owner did not want to drill through the original console lid, and had the pad attached with straps, but it was just wonky that way.
*and left the tail gate open for the lab who thinks it’s his truck, to just chill outside

@stevema1214 beautiful lab.... do you happen to know where that center console pad came from?
I think the prior owner had it custom made. He’s still in my general area. He moved on to an FJ40 restoration. I’ll ask him Though. Bought this from him about 2.5 years ago, but I think he’ll respond. Let me see.

Finished up some 3FE work I've been putting off. Few weeks ago it began running poorly so I dove in. Found a large crack in the intake to throttle body hose, had a better replacement so swapped that it. Pulled the intake, cleaned the throttle body, and swapped in rebuilt fuel injectors. Desmogged while I was in there. Also replaced plugs, wires, and distributor cap and rotor. Engine has >200k on it after the rebuild and the throttle body and injectors haven't been touched until I did this recent work on it.

Great dog photo!, ours loved doing that, I would leave our cars open in the back so our Lucy could perch in there and keep watch on the neighborhood....or take a lazy nap(usually the case). Sadly we lost her to cancer a couple months ago.
That’s a handsome boy there.

Was a great weekend. Snow has hit the Oregon Cascades with over 8’ at Timberline Lodge since the beginning of January. Got together with @boots4, @Paco, @Kentucky Pete and my kids. Decided to go snow wheeling up the Clackamas River up toward Bull of the Woods fire lookout tower. The snow was very heavy and wet which made it tough for travel. Got up to about 2’ deep before we turned around and had a lunch break.

Sunday decided to take kids night skiing at Timberline. What a great time with hardly anybody on the slopes. The view of Mt. Hood from the parking lot never disappoints.

Warming up the 60 and the kids with Mt. Hood still visible as we got ready to head home.

Got tired of chasing overheating gremlins, so I did a full system back-flush and drain then installed a new WP, fan clutch, t-stat, and radiator. Tightened everything up and and added new coolant; she's been running cooler the last two days than ever before!

If you don't mind me asking, exactly what grey is that? I really, really dig it.

The photo you quoted is of my truck before the wheels were painted gray. That photo is just stock black color on a FJ cruiser wheel.

The gray I used is a tractor supply farm and implement paint color, MF Gray
