Gday guys how are we. New on this site.
I have a 96 80 series Landcruiser 1fzfe
I’m having problems with ruff ride and handelling.
experiencing harsh handeling off road
Driving on a dirt road that has ripples or little rocky bits and little holes in the road hitting it all getting very rough ride at front and rear where it feels like it’s bouncing over them. And don’t feel nice at all.
On road same thing fine in roads that are new but soon as I hit bumps or s*** on the road it gives me a rough ride! I have no idea what’s going on.
And can’t seem to be able to fix it. Or find the problem. I feel as the car has bricks and no suspension
details of the 80 and what iv done.
So it’s got a 4” lift that I brought second hand about 5 or more months ago.
they are Flexi coils I’m pretty sure and they are very heavy rated springs.
I have tough dog adjustable shocks that also are second hand. Rear shocks are Efs extreme also second hand with the kit.
Running 5deg caster plates. arb bull bar winch roof top tent rear draws all set up. Pretty much everything I need.
I am running 37s also note that it drove the exact same on 33s 35s and now my 37s
I have gotten numerous wheel alignments wheel balances and so on.
I had stripped the hubs front and rear and rebuilt the Swivel hubs with all new koyo bearings and so on.
I put it together exactly how I removed it and just tightened the swivel hubs all up right. And check left and right for feel. And feel ok I guess.
there’s no play in wheel bearings
No play in king pins.
Panhard busheshave been replaced.
no cracks that I can see around steering box or panhard mount.
Control arm bushes look new.
could any one point me in a direction to fix or where to look to find the problem.
Could it be shocks worn out or springs ect
Really wanna fix it and get it back to its nice driving state.
Thanks guys
here a pick of my 80
